Well I never got around to converting this to AS3, but here is the code. On my next project I will develop it further.

Just saw your samples and it's really cool! If you want, you can take a look at my classes - it has similiar approach but it has a different code. I added material mapping too.
It is also AS2 but your code is much cleaner :). Anyway, if you want to take a look, here is address:
